forced graciousness, saying grace. saving grace. amazing grace. i am thankful for: living in a place where inside temperature equals outside temperature. I am thankful for roses and greenhouses. and green houses. and palm trees when i am in a hot place. and family and friends and lovers. and lights. i am thankful for fresh fruit and ethical choices in meat. candles, horses, birdlife, and wind chimes. good pens. i am thankful for postcards, production, and plays. cars, corn, and coffee. kind words, kindling, and kelly. foxes, dogs, and water. rain, as a phenomenon good cookware, and fresh cheese. computers, consciousness, and change. you, young plants, yosemite. rhythm, rhythm, rhythm. needles, thread, couches, ease. i am thankful for anticipation, jelly, and rivers. i am thankful for education, endowments, and people paying me to do what i want. i am thankful for one big love.
whew. that is enough of that. i mean, nine minutes of being grateful. my work is done. bay area hip hop. needs some energy. smudge. beacon. lighthouse keeping. written on the body. english literature.
